As the title suggests, it’s about two different worlds: the real world, where the main character Oh Yeon Joo lives, and the fictional world of a famous webtoon named W, where our other main character Kang Chul is the protagonist.Despite the webtoon’s popularity, Yeon Joo’s father, Seong Moo, plans to abruptly end it by having Chul killed off. He draws a scene where Chul is stabbed by a mysterious figure, but his plan is foiled when Yeon Joo is sucked into the webtoon world and rescues Chul in the nick of time.Eventually, however, she learns the disturbing reason behind her father’s apparent irrationality: the webtoon, and Chul himself, have a life and will of their own and Seong Moo, who has been getting sucked into the fictional world ever more often, is terrified of being swallowed whole by it.Obviously, because this is a romance, Yeon Joo and Chul soon develop feelings for each other. And that’s where W: Two Worlds’ problems begin and end, because while the writer, Song Jae Jung, is excellent at plot and drama, she’s not very good at romance.

I’ve managed to start and finish two other dramas since stopping W. I plan to go back and finish it, but right now I don’t have any desire to because I’ve kind of lost investment with the characters. Overall a good drama. incredible idea, best acting by actors. totally a fairy tale world. as a teenager my favourite show. not every teenagers will like it but majority of teenagers will like it though it's not a teen show.W: Two Worlds Apart is a beatiful drama with unique plot. The idea of story was original, I've never seen it before. To be honest I wathed it in 4 days but the plot was the only thing because of which I finished the serial. What I found disappoined was logic of serial.Don't be surprised if you'll end up binge watching this k-drama. It happened to me, though I was reluctant at first to see it. The story seemed a bit strange and complicated about two parallel worlds. Also I was misled by the synopsis thinking it would be a live action webtoon.

The writer of the webtoon wanted to end it by killing Kang Chul but Kang Chul stopped it from happening and dragged Oh Yeon Joo in his world.During this part, the story is building up - Kang Chul said Oh Yeon Joo is the key to his life which made Oh Yeon Joo come back and forth from the real world to the webtoon. Oh Yeon Joo knowing all the things about Kang Chul, she decided not to tell him about it and continued lying about her existence.Plus, I also researched about it. The writer has written different endings for it. And the one the ending they choose - Kang Chul comes to the real world and tells Oh Yeon Joo that his father stayed in the webtoon (just like what he wished for).First episode of this drama made me attached to it already. Maybe because it is not a typical love story wherein both leads are humans or both leads are from the same world or time.

We knew Chul was no longer the webtoon's main character and my only guess on how he was able to come to the real world was because the author intended on that's how his story would end - after all the author was the God.We have the answer twice. And rather than the director, it's the writer's job in the first place to do that. But it's a lot harder than people imagine. A lot of shows have a hard time with endings, and I find myself so disappointed but not with W. The story was wrapped up, and I appreciate it for what it is. This is a fantasy, 2 world show.It's literally a comic world, and variables can and do change as characters "wake up." If you like parallel worlds, time travel, etc, and dont find the "rules" confusing or "not logical," this show is perfect for you.Although there are some plotholes I'm willing to forget them. Lol. The latter part becomes quite confusing as the variables become more and sometimes changes as and when it likes. Sometimes the characters 'teleported' to the real world/comic world till I was a bit confused and did not know which world they are at.
